Olive is an artist, mother of two boys and co founder of Glebe House Devon, a guest house and restaurant rooted in art and experience. Olive lives and paints from her home in Devon where she is inspired by her beautiful surroundings.

 

Olive’s journey with painting began in childhood. Raised in an artistic family, her parents lived between the South Downs and Le Marche in Italy. There is a deep connection to land and place in her work.

 

Her painting style is bold, naïve, and charged with energy, texture, and playfulness. Olive draws inspiration from her local coastline, her garden's seasonal produce and the curious, beautiful objects found throughout her home. Her liberal and layered use of oil paint is designed to create a sense of depth and she is continually exploring how composition and colour can evoke feeling.

 

She has previously exhibited in Greene and Stone on Fulham Road, North Coast Asylum in Newquay, Act One Art in Great Titchfield Street and in her own gallery Glebe House in Devon.
